Group Therapy

"Me Too" Group

 Sexual trauma is relative.

Are you ready to stop pretending that things are “fine?”

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to feel “normal” again? Or, have you ever wondered if you have ever even known what “normal” feels like?

Are issues of trust and forgiveness upsetting or confusing?

Is the “Me Too” movement affecting you?

Even if you have told yourself that what you have experienced, “Wasn’t that bad” because “I’ve heard stories that are worse,” this support group may be just right for you, right here, right now.

In a safe, confidential peer group, facilitated by a licensed clinician, you will be supported in exploring or reassessing how your experiences of sexual abuse have impacted and may continue to influence your body, mind, spirit, and closest relationships.   We welcome those who have just begun their journey of recovery as well as anyone who has been on this path for some time and wishes to address a new aspect that has come to light.

In this group, you will also gain skills in being a witness, and offering and receiving effective non-judgmental peer support.

It is very important to ensure that participation in this group is appropriate for where you are in your healing process.

Please call 425.412.4229 to schedule an individual appointment with facilitator Theresa Bowes, LMHC, for an opportunity to learn more.
